Born of Gaia and Tartarus after the defeat of the Titans, Typhon was the ultimate challenge to divine order. He stormed Olympus, tore out Zeus's sinews, and buried them in a cave, briefly stripping the king of gods of his power before Hermes recovered them. The final battle raged across the Mediterranean before Zeus buried Typhon beneath Mount Etna.
From the waist down a mass of coiling vipers; from the waist up a man of terrifying size whose head brushed the stars. His hundred serpent heads spoke in the voices of every animal. Fire blazed from his eyes and his breath scorched the earth.
Could throw mountains and summon hurricanes. Each serpent head breathed fire and spoke a different language or animal voice. He could strip divine power from Olympians. Even defeated, he causes volcanic eruptions and catastrophic storms from his prison beneath Etna.
