The Haunting

Great Zimbabwe is a large pre‑colonial stone city settled from around 1000 AD, with major construction beginning in the 11th century and continuing until the 15th century. It served as the capital of the Kingdom of Great Zimbabwe from the 13th century and was abandoned in the 16th or 17th century. The site covers approximately 7.22 square kilometres and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Archaeological and historical scholarship identifies the builders as ancestors of the Shona people and treats Great Zimbabwe as a key example of pre‑colonial urbanism and architecture in southern Africa. The supplied sources present archaeological, historical, and heritage information only; they do not document any supernatural occurrences or associated spirits.
