La Carlota (officially Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda Air Base) is a military airfield in central/eastern Caracas known for administrative and political roles and use as a VIP transport hub. It has been prominent in Venezuelan political and military reporting over the past decade. According to multiple contemporaneous analyses and news reports, the site was targeted during a series of strikes in late 2025 and early 2026. Geospatial imagery analysis (CSIS) identifies two impact craters slightly north of the runway, and witness reporting (Caracas Chronicles) links munitions falling into nearby residential areas (La Boyera) on November 26, 2025. Analysts cited in the reporting characterize strikes on La Carlota as operationally significant, aimed at degrading air mobility or impeding military response.
