Los Haitises National Park

Los Haitises National Park protects a large expanse of coastal mangrove swamp, islands, sea caves, and seaside cliffs in the Samaná Bay region of the Dominican Republic. Multiple travel and cultural sources emphasize the park's ecological importance (mangroves, birding) and its archaeological significance through the presence of ancient Taíno cave art within its cave systems. The park is repeatedly referenced in guidebooks and tour listings as a visited destination for ecological and cultural tourism. The supplied research materials do not provide documented reports of paranormal phenomena, named spirits, eyewitness accounts, or investigative findings tied to Los Haitises. While the presence of Taíno cave art and the area's cave landscapes create conditions where local folklore could plausibly associate the site with ancestral or spiritual narratives, no such folklore or specific supernatural claims appear in the provided excerpts. Therefore this entry records the site's cultural and ecological significance and explicitly does not assert documented hauntings based on the supplied sources.
