Rocca dei Rettori

Rocca dei Rettori is documented in the supplied sources as a rocca (castle) located in the city of Benevento in southern Italy. Contemporary sources note that the site currently houses the Museum of the Samnium, indicating its role as a repository for local cultural and archaeological material and implying public museum access. The provided excerpts do not include construction dates, architectural phases, ownership history, or specific historical incidents tied to the fortress. Regarding paranormal or folkloric associations: the supplied materials (Wikipedia entry, Wikidata item, and two archive listings referenced) do not contain any explicit accounts of hauntings, apparitions, auditory phenomena, poltergeist activity, or named supernatural entities connected to Rocca dei Rettori. Although the user query referenced Benevento witchcraft traditions and the Bell of Benevento—well-known subjects in broader regional folklore—those topics are not substantiated in the excerpts provided and therefore are not asserted here. Further research in local histories, the full archival collections cited, and expanded bibliographic sources is recommended to investigate any folkloric links not present in the supplied notes.
