Femizons

In Marvel continuity the name 'Femizons' designates two related fictional usages. One is a future gynarchic polity called Femizonia (appearing in stories identifying Thundra as from Earth-712 and other appendices listing Femizons of Earth-715) characterized as a society ruled and controlled by women and in some accounts populated by genetically enhanced Amazon-like warriors. The other usage is a contemporary Earth-616 supervillain faction assembled by the villain Superia, who adopts the Femizons name after learning of the possible future where Earth is ruled by Femizons and organizes an all-female army of criminals with the stated goal of conquering Earth to establish female rule.

As a collective, descriptions vary by incarnation. The future Femizonia is depicted as producing Amazon-like, physically formidable women; individual champions such as Thundra are presented as highly muscular and physically imposing combatants. The Earth-616 Femizons are a coalition of established female supervillains and thus present diverse individual appearances drawn from their member characters rather than a single uniform look.

Femizons function as social and military actors within Marvel narratives. The future Femizonia maintains a matriarchal society and, in storylines, sends individuals such as Thundra into the present; Thundra herself is depicted with superhuman strength, high endurance, and expert close-combat skill. The Earth-616 Femizons act as an organized antagonistic force—a coalition of supervillainesses—engaging in coordinated attempts at conquest under Superia. No supernatural or folkloric powers for the collective as a whole are documented beyond the individually powered members.
