Beauty (Once Upon a Time)

Within the episode's internal chronology, following the series' Final Battle Belle and Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold live in Storybrooke for a year with their son Gideon, then travel the realms. Seeking a way to rid themselves of the Dark One's dagger and its darkness, Belle reads a solution that sends them to the Edge of Realms where an 'eternal day' supposedly holds until a sunset will allow disposal of the dagger. Belle understands that the prophecy's 'sunset' signifies her own death; she chooses to live a happy life with Rumple and Gideon for many years at the Edge of Realms and then dies peacefully when the 'sunset' arrives. After her death, Rumple continues the quest to remove the dagger's darkness and later meets a Guardian (revealed as Alice) to take on that role. In a separate present-day Seattle storyline, a comatose Weaver experiences a vision of Belle's spirit before regaining consciousness.

Belle is presented as a human wife and mother during the episode's past timeline: living with Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold and their son Gideon, settling into a home at the Edge of Realms, and later dying peacefully.
