Ardina

Ardina

Greaterwell-documentedmodern American comic-book mythos (Marvel)Marvel comics cosmology (Earth / alternate Earths such as Earth–Moebius)
Origin

Two distinct origin accounts are recorded in the cited sources. In the Defenders storyline account, Papa Hagg supplied a magic dagger that allowed the Defenders to siphon some of the Silver Surfer's energy and, by using a spell invoking Umar, Hecate, Demeter, Jord, and Apalla, create a female being identified as Ardina; she and other female analogs were thereafter banished to a far-off place and later relocated in-canon. An earlier account (from Silver Surfer material) states Ardina was created by Galactus as a potential mate for the Silver Surfer; that origin was later retconned in continuity and associated with Earth–Moebius in appendix notes.

Appearance

Sources identify Ardina only as a female being formed from the Silver Surfer's energies. No detailed canonical physical description (exact costume, coloration, height, or facial features) is provided in the cited materials; existing notes restrict description to her being an energy-formed female analog tied to the Silver Surfer's Power Cosmic.

Abilities

The cited sources state Ardina is made from the Silver Surfer's energies and can use the Power Cosmic to fly and to create energy blasts from her hands. Narratively she functions as a female analog created to mirror or oppose other characters (appearing to aid the Defenders against the Order) and her existence and origin vary across continuities (creation by Galactus in one account; magical siphoning in another).
